Graduate & Family Living directors and assistants
Graduate & Family Living supports residents through the following leadership roles:
The Senior Community Directors (SCDs) are Professional Staff who live in University Village and serve as a resource and after-hour guide to residents. They also assist with mediating and resolving Graduate & Family Living-related issues. SCDs plan social and educational events and programs to help build a sense of community in each of the five Graduate & Family Living communities (i.e., University Village and xučyun ruwway in Albany, Manville Hall and Ida Jackson House in Berkeley, and Intersection Apartments in Emeryville.)
The Assistant/Associate Directors (ADs) are the Leadership Team for Graduate & Family Living. The Graduate & Family Living Leadership Team provides higher-level support and guidance to residents, maintains safe and supportive facilities, and hosts impactful programs and events to bring residents, families, and the local community together!
The Administrative Assistants (AAs) staff the Village office to support your needs as residents on-site, including: submitting maintenance requests, answering common questions, directing residents to resources, and addressing security concerns.
