Edtivia “Tay Tay” Rutherford

Hey Everybody!! My name is Edtivia ‘TayTay’ Rutherford, I use she/her pronouns and I am from Oakland, CA. I received my B.A. in Business Administration at Holy Names University and then went on to receive my M.Ed in Educational Leadership at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am entering my fourth year at UC Berkeley. Over the past three years I’ve had the honor to serve as a Resident Director in Unit 1 for the African American Theme Program (AATP). I am very excited to be joining the Graduate & Family Living community.

I appreciate good entertainment. I’m a sports fan and can be considered a decent video gamer. 2k all the way! I love watching a good television show or movie. A mix of Music, Meditation and Memories are my great equalizers. I truly love to create new memories and share laughs. I am a huge sneakerhead! I am an avid sports fan who loves to watch and/or attend games. My favorite music genres are Hip Hop and R&B. I love a good time and I hope to bring that energy with me to make this year something to remember.

Antonio Robinson

I’m Antonio Robinson (he, him, his) and I bring East Coast charm and Midwest insight to life in California. With a passion for supporting students, building community, and developing strong networks, I believe in the importance of creating connection between living and learning environments. My educational background includes an MSEd in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and also a B.A. in Communication (Mass Media Studies) from the University of Delaware. My interests include running, attending live music events, watching & playing sports, and spending time with family (aka being a husband + taking care of his two dogs & cat too!).

Before starting at UC Berkeley, I worked professionally in both K-12 and higher ed settings. Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide variety of functional areas and university offices. including student housing & residential life, student academic resource & support centers, a postdoctoral office, an office for inclusive excellence, and an office of communication & marketing. With these roles in mind, I remain focused on building relationships and mentoring a diverse community of staff, graduate students, and families at UC Berkeley & beyond!
