Hi there! My name is Kaity Benson (She/her/hers) and I am one of the Senior Community Directors working with Graduate & Family Living here at UC Berkeley (GO BEARS)! I’m originally from California but have been exploring other regions over the past few years. While in Indiana, I worked with AmeriCorps and started my graduate program with Indiana University, studying Higher Education & Student Affairs. After working with Butler University in Indianapolis as an Assistant Community Director for a first-year community, I moved to upstate New York to work at Cornell University as a Residence Hall Director with their first year, all-female and nonbinary identified community. I am passionate about supporting students, both in and out of the classroom, as they navigate their college experience! I hope to wrap up my Master’s soon and look into doctoral programs! In my free time, I like to read, check out new spots to eat at (BIG foodie), check out a fun event (movies, concerts, broadway shows), hang with friends/family, or just relax at home with my fur babies (Buffy, Linguini, and Figaro).
