I am excited to return to UC Berkeley and the student housing world, especially University Village, where I lived as a student. My goal is to advocate for educational access and student success, devoting my education, volunteer time, and career to furthering the educational opportunities and success of youth and young adults. In addition to my 30-year career as a student affairs administrator at UC Berkeley and Sonoma State University, I have also served as an adjunct professor at both the University of the Pacific and UC Berkeley Extension where I was part of the inaugural faculty for the Students Affairs Certificate. I am a professionally trained editor and coach for doctoral students completing their dissertations. I value community service and have served on many industry and association boards as well as the PTA, an education foundation, and as an elected Trustee for a school district. I was raised in the Los Angeles area and graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Political Science. I later earned my MS in Counseling with an emphasis in Higher Education at California State University, East Bay, and completed my EdD in Educational Administration and Leadership. In 2019, I opened my consulting company where I help students and families find right-fit colleges, coach doctoral students, and tackle university administrative projects. Outside the office, I enjoy time with my family and friends, traveling, swimming, playing with my dog (Bear), and scrapbooking all the photos I take while enjoying life.
