Hi! My name is Amari McGee. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where I received the majority of my education, including my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Wayne State University. I am passionate about education, learning, service, and ensuring equity for all. I am soon to be Dr. McGee as I am working to complete my doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership. When I’m not busy being a scholar, I love to laugh, read (for fun), travel, and explore and photograph beautiful views. I also love spending time with family and watching scary movies! I look forward to my journey on the West Coast and embracing the new experiences, lessons, and connections to come.
